Hi Larry,
The socket looks like a mount for a Magma grill, probably one of the round models.
The pole with a winch sounds like some version of the GBI mast raising system. Does your boat have a block of plastic at the forward end of the cabin roof? If it does, the pole should have a socket and pins on the end opposite the winch. This socket will attach to the block of plastic, secured by the pins. If your boat doesn’t have the block of plastic on the cabin roof, your boat may have one of the developmental models of the GBI mast raising system. Look around for some way to attach the gin pole to the boat. Can you send a picture of the end of the gin pole opposite the winch?
The tie downs on the aft end of the trailer look like they are for securing the stern of the boat when it’s on the trailer. I use 2” nylon straps led to the tie down points on the port and starboard corners of the transom. I like to cross cross them to stop lateral movement as well as rearward movement.
I added a jack on the other side of the trailer. With jacks on both sides of the trailer and the tongue jack, you will be able to change a flat on either side. You will also be able to level the trailer on uneven ground. This will enable the boat to be used as a camper when you are trailering the boat. The Rhodes 22 cabin is way better than a tent. If you step the mast, you will even be able to use the pop top. Did your boat come with the pop top enclosure &/or the boom room? The pop top enclosure is especially useful. It will give you bug proof, standing headroom in the main cabin. Check out the photos on the Rhodes 22 archive.
I live in Sanford, MI a couple of hours away from you. If you still have questions, I might be able to drive down there to take a look.
