The tube furling system goes back 50 years. When Stan created the dies for the IMF in the “80”s he used the same tube (adjusted in length for the IMF. Since then he began using an extruded foil for the IMF ( not sure when, anyone?). He also changed the jib furling system from the tube to a more conventional system. One of my Rhodes, the ‘83, ENOSIS, it had the tube jib furler, like my “76.  On my refurbed “87, it is a Harken system as I recall. I don’t know if that is the original setup or not.
