I have the same cleat and when i needed info I went to the mfg. website -
pretty detailed diagrams. If you do a search for clamcleat CL257 it will
take you right to the page. I had a further question on proper tensioning,
sent an e-mail, and got a very prompt response. I find the cleat works very
well in operation but is a little awkward to release when lifting the rudder
at the end of a sail and when pulling it down at the outset. I believe this
is because of the location of the GB installation, which, on my boat is the
leading edge of the rudder. I have seen diagrams which put it on tiller
which seems more accessible. Good luck
