[Rhodes22-list] Trophy

Hello All, 
This evening we had our Ky Lake Sailing Club banquet
and we picked up the "blue fleet, spinnaker fleet" 1st place 
trophy. Our "Team Dagnabit" is 3 gals and one male captain.
Those of you who come to Ky Lake know John, our Team 
leader. (aka Mr. Schlitz). 
He announced that I was the trophy recipient because I came 
every weekend to do the bottom job last winter. Embarrassing!
(I actually got my PhD in bottom care last winter from him!)
Anyhow, we had a wonderful time with some great folks. 
One couple from our club won all three small boat 1st place trophies 
this season in North America! First time in a long time that anyone 
has done such (51 years....I will have the later when it is posted). 
They were celebrated.
We raced today and once again took number one. I do believe in the 
cold but light wind I gybed the spinnaker pole more that 20 times. The
wind really played with us all day! My cheeks are burning....cold and 
hot red!
