Rik,

Thanks. Julie and I aren't really all that competetive - I wish we could
have made Ky Lake - that sounds a lot like our regattas here. A couple of
the guys take winning fairly seriously, but most (including us) are in it
for the fun and comeraderie. Of course, it's always nice to do well - makes
you feel good about your boat and made us realize that we've come a long way
in the last couple of years. going from happy to be "not last" last year to
finishing third overall and second in our class (corrected times) in the
last race. Very satisfying. And about the only thing we do different in a
race than we do when we're out having fun is pay more attention to our sails
and our boat trim. Oh yeah, and we seldom start drinking until after the
race - I wonder if that's got anyything to do w/ it?
