Wally-
Is that their Soundworks System?

I didn't want to drill more holes and possibly change locations for speaker
later, so I went with Bill Effros' advice on this. I installed them in June
and haven't been as pleased with nearly any other purchase as this-and that
is saying a lot. I use the 12v on the boat and will bring them inside in the
winter for 110v in the house. With my plug-in iPod/mp3 player, I can fill
the bay with music if I wanted to and they are clear and distortion-free
including bass. I have run both off my single battery for over 10 hours or
from my plug-in 11 amp solar cell, which in average to bright sun could run
the whole thing.

Mounting was easy, different than Bill's from what he said when he was
onboard. The two satellites were mounted on the poptop facing back and just
behind the molded ledge with small c-clamps for easy removal. this
separation seems to be ideal for good imaging of the stereo. The wires I ran
down the stainless steel bars towards the galley side and out the bottom of
the collapsing set up to the hinge in the bulkhead. The hardest job was
drilling the stainless steel tube, but you could run them down with nylon
ties or something. I feed them out the end so they don't get too damaged,
but this is quick as I drop the poptop. I've used them nearly everyday since
install with no appreciable wear.

The Subwoofer fits just below the cockpit floor in the sliding tray to the
galley side of the centerboard trunk with wires running up the side of the
ice chest out of the way. The bass carries well into the cockpit once you
adjust it and the whole sound works great together, as if made for the boat.

Let me know how you do with it.
