[Rhodes22-list] I Hate My Trailer

I've stayed out of this discussion because I do not trailer very often
anymore, but I have one comment. After 2 years of launching and retrieving
and the last two of having the boat loaded on the trailer with a travel
lift, I'm convinced that the position of the hull on the trailer is mainly
dictated by the bunks. No matter what I did with the bowstop or winch cable
when loading, the hull settled in the exact same place when it came out of
the water. In fact, if it was forward and the cable was tight, trying to
keep it there, the cable would break when the hull settled. Even when
loaded by a crane, it ended up in the same place. The crane operators said
that was where it "fit".

I've never had enough tongue weight to trailer above 50 mph without
fishtailing. And thats without the motor on the stern.
