The unit I have is made by Uniden, Model QT-206 and I purchased it at WM
last fall. It is only a depth gauge, not a speed indicator. As I only
sail for recreation porpoises and lots of drinking time, I have little
need to know how fast I'm going. In fact, the speed might actually scare
me into drinking more. Knowing what the water depth is on our lake is
very important, especially with the level being down as it has been for
the past three years. In the past I have relied upon the center board to
judge depth. :)
