   Well, I think Stan made the comment about wannabe's and lurkers as a tongue-in-cheek sales pitch and he also (wittingly I am sure) now has a noted disclaimer about the quality of the boats built in the mid to late 1970's, because the hulls were contracted out.   This is not a new bit of information to most of us.  I do not think he meant to put any of us project boat owners on the defensive.  Besides, the fact that we already have boats, and are on the list makes us neither lurkers nor wannabes.  We have decided to rebuild these boats for any number of reasons.  Primarily, I made the decision because of the reputation of the Rhodes 22 design.  If my boat folds up like a dixie cup while sailing, it will be because of my work, and no reflection on Stan or GB.    How many $500 Rhodes 22's do you see out there?  You can find $500 Mac,s, Catalinas, O'Days, etc. out there all day long.  Rebuild one of them and you still have a $500 boat.  Rebuild a $500 Rhodes 22 and you have a RHODES 22!  Nuf said?
