[Rhodes22-list] Lowering the Mast to the Stern

When we were able to raise and lower the mast at the time of 40 minutes we
did it so frequently that we never removed the cotter pins/rings  and left
the stays connected to the boat using bungy cords to keep them from coming
in contact with the fiberglass. The only stays that didn't have cotter pins
or rings in them with the forward lowers because they were frequently
removed to attach chain extenders. Should one of them come loose because
pins and rings weren't acting as a security measure a combination of the
forestay and outer side stay would hold the mast in place until it was
reconnected with no problem.
