Well the genoa is now firmly reattached. Thanks to all for their
suggestions - it really was easy - at least the attaching part.

We had to choose the hottest weekend of the year so far to drop the mast
and do the work but there was no help for it if we want to go sailing next
week. We went down to the boat Friday night. It was very very warm but had
a lovely dinner on the deck at Haven Harbor (down the creek from our base
at Swan Creek) with Tim & Terri Toth. Overnight it wasn't too bad with the
dual companionway fans running. Air temp got down to 81, temp in the cabin
was 82 and the water temp was at least 84.

Sat. morning we got up early and had the mast down by 9:30 and the repairs
completed and the mast back up by 11. Rummy and Ed, we took your advice and
applied screws to the top where the webbing broke and to the bottom where
it hadn't broken yet. We were able to work on the top of the furling tube
with the mast resting on the sternrail and the furling tube and sail pulled
inboard into the cockpit so had there been any dropped parts they would
have fallen on the cushions. We were very pleased that we were able to get
the sail pulled tauter than it was originally along the tube.

P.S. We were done in time to help set up for the sailing association's crab
feast which was was a great success. A few people wimped out because of the
heat. If there hadn't been a lovely 10 - 15 knot breeze blowing we might
have all wimped out. As it was the crabs, the company. the music and the
view were all outstanding.

Thanks again to everyone for their suggestions and good wishes - those
helped too.
