Plastimo makes a bulkhead compass that will handle the angle on the upper
part of the R22 aft cabin bulkhead and still lets folks sit against the
bulkhead comfortably. It has an inclinometer built in (if you are the
quantitative sort). I put it on the port side to be clear of the radio
which is mounted in the cabin on the starboard side. Others have mounted
one on a removable hatchboard.
I installed a depthsounder in the lazarrette, made by Uniden (Q 206, I
think) that shoots through the fiberglass hull. It has not been a success, I
can't recommend it.
Best of luck

Subject: [Rhodes22-list] looking for suggestions for my new Rhodes 22
Stan referred me to other Rhodes 22 owners to gain some manufacturer
recommendations for:
a. anemometer
b. knot meter
c. compass
d. depth finder
He is building my new boat over the winter, but as you probably know, only
installs the equipment I send.
Would anyone have a strong opinion re the above three items? Thank you!
Dan
