Hi Steve
Yeah,
the procedure is NOT as user friendly as it appears in the WEST
system repair manuals !
I'm a" young" 54 but even with good rubber knee pads working on my
knees or squatting for hrs doing the dryfits and prep in a mask &
goggles was tough.
I am lucky in that my settee upright is in the best shape. I have
decided to just wet out my port side stringer and possibly glass a
few strips to make it as secure as its new partner.
I also relaminated a new galley top and still have to finish that and
put back the sink and its molding. ((how i removed that molding strip
and didnt ruin it was a miracle itself!))
I did most of that work in my warm basement.
good luck with your restoration job too.
Lou
