Ed,

I've sent a couple e-mails to ol' Roger and he hasn't replied.  I guess he
wants to be left alone.  But no doubt I'll run 
into him (figuratively speaking) on the lake this spring.  Except I'm on
the road so much that I might not have much 
of a season myself.

      Thank you for the reply.  It sounds like we should not water ski with
our wallets.  But you did not get to the real issue.  Is the Raystown Lake
big enough for a Rhodes 22 for a limited time, a few days?

Slim,
      I second Todd's suggestion about using teflon or UMHWHE washers or
spacing.  Second, consider making sure that the bolt holes have not worn to
big for the bolts.  Maybe you need to epoxy the 
inside of the holes and drill to correct bolt thickness.  Then add high
density plastic spacing plates or 
a complete piece of plastic on on side of the tiller to get correct
thickness.  Was Rummy the one
who did something like this a few years ago?  
      Irritate Roger with the question.  Tell him that he may be able to
divorce his wife, but Rhodies are
like atheletes foot fungus, keep coming back.
