We are having a discussion about bilge pumps and causes of problems.
Also, had question about one hatch versus two hatches. Well, I have no
hatches and my recycled boat came with a bilge pump.
A successful way to increase total ventilation is a Nicro(sp?) solar
powered vent. I have seen one Rhodes with one in the cabin roof. However,
over the years we have had discussion about stinking anchor lines. Several
solutions are in use, i.e. Rummy's and Bill's solutions. Their methods do
away with the need for the front access for the anchor line to go into the
anchor line tray. The smaller Nicro vent fits right into the hole without
modification. Then when the sun shines there is constant ventilation. It
works and improves the overall atmosphere of the cabin.
