Captains

I haven't posted since last summer but have continued to appreciate and benefit from the expertise offered on the list. The ongoing discussions are very helpful to a novice. I took delivery of an 89 (recycled 2005) Rhodes in March 05 and have been poking around the corrotoman and rappahannock rivers in the northern neck of Va. Haven't gone too far from port nor heeled beyond horizontal. Hope to become more adventurous this season.
I have a question regarding spreaders.... should they lie at a particular angle to the mast. Most Rhodes seem to have spreaders that angle upwards. After raising my mast this spring I noticed one spacer is missing between spreader and mast and both spreaders are angled down.slightly. Is this anything to correct? And if so, any idea where I can get spacers to replace the ones that came with the boat? Viagra is too expensive.

I am also planning to attach stan's bimini to my boat. Am I correct in thinking that the Bimini folds foward toward the cabin when not in use? Any suggestions as to where on the coaming to secure the bracket?
Thanks for any and all input.

Kevin
