[Rhodes22-list] Full Verticle Battens

For those of us with inner-mast furling, I read an article in the May issue
of Cruising World on full-length vertical battens.  It seems that more
cruisers in boats of all makes & sizes are going with the convenience of IMF
and are driving the demand for better mainsails.  Doyle, which seems to be
the General Boats' sailmaker of choice, was one of the sailmakers listed as
doing most of the research and testing of this concept.  I know GB has been
offering a partial-length vertical battened main for a few years.  I'm
wondering if this will be the next evolutionary step in the Rhodes 22 IMF
system.  From what I can tell, this is an exciting concept that has some
real potential.
