[Rhodes22-list] Politics: Term Limits

I can understand why people are for term limits I think they are a bad idea. 
Just take away (or reduce) all PAC money and appearance money for all 
politicians. Take a look at campaign contribution laws and make some 
changes. Why would you want to vote out a great politician just because his 
term limit was up?

My local congressman is Rep. Jimmy Duncan. I vote for him every election and 
did so again this year. Duncan is one of the few Rep. to vote against the 
war with Iraq. I liked him before this mess but I like him even more now. It 
would be a shame if he was forced out.

What I really hate is a fat cat who uses out of state money to buy his 
election. When I lived in NC Jesse Helms would take donations from out of 
state interests groups that had nothing to do with NC. He set records for 
spending that made it next to impossible for anyone to have a fair shot at 
winning. Helms never got my vote! We need to make it so an incumbent doesn't 
have such a huge financial advantage when campaiging.
