[Rhodes22-list] Off season storage costs

i have access to an open storage yard, closed row shedding, and my driveway as possible homes for my boat off season. the problem always seems to be how much work and how close to home. electric power is always a problem. the sheds allow covered working conditions but they don't like fumes from solvents and paint and are not heated. the open storage yard doesn't like any repairs to be done, (liability issue?), and at home in driveway is the most convenient, all my tools are handy and the equipment on boat doesn't develop legs. only downside is room fortrailer and cars.

In past years I've covered her with tarps and parked her at the bottom of my driveway. No way I could get her up to the house. Having the boat at the bottom of the driveway is not very convenient. No way to work on her during the winter (no water or power), I'm always brushing snow and draining the water off the tarp, and the neighbors cats and the local raccoons like to hide up in the cockpit which makes it challenging to clean up every spring.

I've found some off site storage I'm looking at and wondered what other people are paying. I'm looking at an old lumber yard that has covered, shed type storage out back. The guy who runs it now has turned it into a semi-permanent flea market and threw a number out there, $45 per month, and wondered how that jibed with what other people pay. I think it was Slim that had that great indoor storage deal, but anyone else have a similar situation? I'm also going to ask him about at least allowing me to run a hose and extension cord periodically so I can work on her during the off season. Thoughts?
