Brad,

Thank you for your reply. Bill E and Bob S both need to deal with an evil
person. Appeasement is neither the correct answer nor the correct method in
dealing with evil people. A reading of history demonstrates that neither
works.

In the last hundred years and in the memory of some of us, there have been
regimes set on world domination. Just seriously look at the dissent that
they allowed and the tolerances they exhibited to other beliefs.

We have knowledge of the Nazis methods. We should have knowledge of the
Communist methods. So now we must deal with another insidious system,
Islamic Radicals.

When dealing with Nazis, history shows how effective the appeasers were in
obtaining long lasting results. Didn’t containment work with the communist?
Not the real answer, just look at today’s world and see Nepal, Venezuela and
other places around the world. That fungus is still with us.

An honest appraisal of the Radical Islamists shows no regard for boundaries
nor lives of non believers. So far it seems that the only thing that has
worked is force. There are those yelling for alternatives, however, I have
only seen cut and run put on the table for discussion. And recent history
and events have shown that is neither a good nor effective answer.

So, Bill E., Bob S., Stam and your fellow travelers, what are some effective
and proven alternatives to dealing with evil people?
