[Rhodes22-list] New Guy Bill D.

Rummy,
I have MANY days of nearly crying over my loss of the Rhodes.
I really went bigger because we drink heavily in the eve and I will not
drive home. Hence, I have a more comfortable 2nd home. Since March I have
been
at the marina Friday to Sun eve. Yesterday was first Sat night at my house!
Because I am single and do stay all weekend, there are planty of days when
I want to go out and have no one to join me. (These big boat guys are just
plain chicken!) I really mean that! I just roll my eyes when they complain
about doing "honey-dos" because they will 'make up' their own honey-dos to
avoid
going out in any decent wind conditions.
Anyhow, if I had my Rhodes, I would have had more sailing time.
With your ideal situation living on the lake, I would never upgrade from the
Rhodes. Come up here for the big boat adventure or rent one in the
Chesapeake
or islands. Hang onto your Rhodes!
Anne

Anne,
I just have to ask. Now that you've had your boat for a while, is bigger
really better? I've often thought about upgrading for more comfort and
conveniences, but then I think about the ease of single handing the R22.

Rummy
