Philip,

I have opening ports that leak now, but didn't leak before.  A project 
for this winter is re-bedding them.  I will not replace them with fixed 
ports--the ventilation is too important in storms.  I always open them 
as soon as I get on the boat.  I have 2 hatches as well.

I also have had 2 CW heads, 2 porto potties of different sizes, and the 
Jabsco head.  The Jabsco head is terrific.  I use a tap water flush, 
which I find totally eliminates odors.  I was able to keep the porto 
potties clean, but carrying and cleaning 5 to 10 gallons of sewage 1/4 
mile is not my idea of fun.  The clean out boats around here cannot 
effectively clean out the porto potties, but they can and do hook up to 
the deck port.
