Ed, that young lady was only on board for a day,
more's the pity.  She was certainly comely, but 
a bit modest for our taste.

For your Ed-ification, here is my usual crew at 
the rail when we came into Norfolk Naval base 
last summer.  We enjoyed several standing 
salutes, complete with bells and whistles --
until we were warned off by a flotilla of 
official boats.  See "shorts.jpg".

There was some discussion among the officials 
as to who had jurisdiction, since each of them 
seemed to feel that they had the duty to board 
us and perform a detailed safety check.  For 
some reason, the selected cluster of inspectors 
never even mentioned PFDs...
