Luiz,
Ed gave you good advice if you have rot in the cabin top BUT the 
screws should not really be holding well. The stays and the shrouds 
hold the mast up not the screws. The tabernacle is held in place with 
short wood screws so that if someone screws up "dropping the mast" 
you only pull out the screws not a section of cabintop. If you have 
rot, you'll want to fix it because it will compress under the tension 
of the stays but don't try to get the screws to hold better.

BTW, I'll bet the most common reason for pulling the tablenacle out 
by the screws is failure to close the sliding hatch on the poptop 
before lowering the mast. If you don't move the sliding hatch aft, it 
acts as fulcrum and the mast becomes a lever that pries up the 
tabernacle quite nicely. Don't ask me how I know this in spite of 
directions that clearly state, "close the sliding hatch".
