My boom is rigged for roller reefing, so there is a clevis pin at the
end to attach the topping lift and main sheet. It fits very loosely,
so there's lots of play and no lateral strain on the attachment
plates. The end cap is secured with four screws, so it was fairly
easy to remove and check the cotter pin inside for wear.
