[Rhodes22-list] Illinois Governor Arrested for Corruption

It can take them years and years to get the evidence to put a guy away.  Most of the time, they've got them on something minor, but they're holding their cards, looking for the biggie that they know (but can't prove) is really going on.

In Louisiana, we have a large number of former government officials in federal prison, including a former governor.  My out of state friends say that this points to a corrupt state; I say they're all crooks, we're the only ones prosecuting them, so we're the least corrupt state.  All a matter of perspective I suppose.

at least three years. They've been looking at everything from how he
hired people for state jobs to the actions of friends and contributors.


So why did it take 3 years to arrest this guy when he has been doing this
stuff the whole time, and they knew it.
