Herb.

I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings in using the word "nonchalant." You
flatter me that you would care so much about what I have to say. Most
people just blow me off--I'm just a saloon singer and unless you want to
hear "Sweet Home Alabama" I'm no authority on anything. When Brad gets
caught up he'll probably hand me my ass too.

BTW I also hate the word "casualty." What's so goddamned casual about it?
You should indeed be enraged by those words. I certainly am too. By no
means do I intend to imply that you, yourself, individually do not mourn and
respect our felled brothers and sisters for their and their family's
sacrifice. It's our government (and your, "acceptable") that uses this
rhetoric and I'm protesting that, Herb, not you personally.

And Herb, your PGR story warms my heart and I know you're a fine American
but could you please lighten up a bit? You're so temperish that I feel
like a fool for arguing with you. You're off the hook and there's nothing
to be gained here.

Sorry all. Sorry Ron Lipton.

Slim
