[Rhodes22-list] Trailer Hitch

I am planning to have a trailer hitch installed on my Dodge RAM 1500 so I can tow our new recycled Rhodes back from Edenton.  No mountains - just from Edenton up to Virginia, over to Solomons Island, MD.

Will a trailer hitch rated at 5000 pounds be sufficient or should I go to 10000?

I'm not planning to routinely trailer the boat; otherwise I would automatically go up to the larger hitch.  But I certainly don't want to do anything unsafe either.
