Brad,

You hit it on the head, you southern NASCAR loving redneck bigot you!!

Here's, to me, part of what makes it even funner

1) Biden's "joke" was funny when he told it
2) When word got out, he had to pretend he didn't mean it as a joke.

Here's the original comment, and then the "explanation" a "Biden
spokesperson" released:

-----
You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight
Indian accent. I'm not joking
-----
The point Senator Biden was making is that there has been a vibrant
Indian-American community in Delaware for decades. It has primarily been
made up of engineers, scientists and physicians, but more recently,
middle-class families are moving into Delaware and purchasing family-run
small businesses. These families have greatly contributed to the
vibrancy of the Indian-American community in Delaware and are making a
significant contribution to the national economy as well.
-----

The irony is that the political double-speak backpeddling IGNORES the
fact that he said you "unless you have a slight Indian accent". Why
would contributions to "the vibrancy of the Indian-American community in
Delaware" require that someone speak with an accent?

I'd have been much more impressed if he'd simply said "Yeah, I WAS
joking, sorry you didn't get it. Pull the stick out of your butt, then
come back and talk to me, and I'll tell you some black jokes that Flip
Wilson came up with, THOSE were funny, he's a pro."

But, then we likely wouldn't be seeing an Obama/Biden ticket, and Biden
wouldn't be able to talk about the upcoming "Biden administration"

Yeah, he said THAT too!
