[Rhodes22-list] Political: Bill Clinton v Sarah Palin (you're kidding right?)

Ben,

You make some pretty broad jumps.

First of all, you espouse the intellectual capability (which I don't
doubt), and the speaking capability (which I have doubted on many
occasions) of a man who tried to parse the word "is".

Intelligence does not always equal great leadership. He wasn't a great
leader. In spite of his intelligence, he embroiled this nation in a
distracting scandal when he should have been focusing on issues at hand.
He brought that on himself with numerous inappropriate sexual
relationships, INCLUDING clearly improper and most likely illegal sexual
harassment. Again, a high level of intelligence does not mean a person
will be a great leader.

Secondly, you make the jump for folks like Noonan that because they
disapprove of her, that they think she's a "moron".
Either you haven't read their articles, you lack an ability to
understand what was written, or you're being deliberately deceptive.

As a matter of fact, I challenge you to show where David Brooks or Peggy
Noonan referred to Palin as a "moron". Please note, your claim was that
their views are EXACTLY the same as yours.

I doubt it.

And then you make the absurd statement that "as far as you can tell" the
ONLY folks that don't think she's a moron are "a few hardy souls on this
forum ".

I think that statement says a lot about your ability for discernment.
Would you like a list of a few hundred folks BESIDES those on this forum
that don't think she's a moron, or would such a list be beyond your
ability to comprehend?

You need to get out more.

Palin's leadership in Alaska involved a lot more than sarcasm and local
phrases, but you choose to ignore that. Personally, I don't think it has
anything to do with her lack of abilities - I think she's the one bright
shining star that has scared a few - yes, I will use the term - moronic
folks on the left.
