>Went to the lake yesterday,it's always a zoo on the 4th of July. the
campgrounds are packed, they have food venders and a band on the
beach, plus hundreds in cars come to watch the fireworks.About 200
houseboats, pontune boats, fishing boats and 3 sailboats watch from the
water side.We got there about 4:30 and anchored where we would have a
nice veiw of the fireworks, and could stay the night.I grilled hot dogs on
the coleman on the cockpit table, lounged around, got treated to a nice
sunset as we watched the cars pour in on land, and the boats come out and
anchor..I'd anchored from the stern to get a good view of the sunset,so I
walked the anchor forward and put up the pop-top for the night. They put
on a real nice show, for 8 bucks a car load, free if your camping or
boating. Then we got to watch the boats line up to go back to the marina
and campgrounds, red lights to the marina, green lights to the
campgrounds.A few pics at the end.
