Hello Rich,
Lots of people will probably respond about swaying.  I can help you out 
about trailer camping as we have done it a couple of times on the way to 
and from the coast.
Some RV campgrounds look at you funny when you pull in, but we have not 
had one reject us yet.  One guy said we were the first ever boat to camp 
out at his place.  We find that having a small step ladder to set up 
beside the boat makes getting in and out a whole lot easier.  I use the 
ladder also when we get to the boat ramp to set up.
On our recent trip to Oriental, NC, we got there late and there were 
literally no rooms in the local Inns.  But one of the inn keepers was 
really nice and let us sleep in the boat in their parking lot for free.
