[Rhodes22-list] What do you suggest as replacement

Mary Lou, yes, our full time residence is in a rural area of Wisconsin where
we have our own well and septic. A water softener is a must, especially when
the water tables get low.
The T8PLH Yamaha 8 power thrust looks like a perfect setup for the Rhodes
with the long tiller and tiller mounted controls and Christopher and Mike
seem to love theirs. I don't think it's made any more though. Seems the
latest model year I can find is 2006.
The Honda BF8 with the power thrust design looks like an acceptable
alternative (http://marine.honda.com/Products/modeldetail/BF8) and it does
have power tilt and a 25" shaft version. If anyone out there has any
experience with this motor I'd love to get your thoughts.
I'm glad you mentioned the flush port as I forgot about that being a
requirement. Our Rhodes will be in the salt for about 5 to 6 months of the
year.
Thanks, Geoff
