[Rhodes22-list] Clew shackle and block blowout

Geoff,

Our setup is a bit different - the line from the outhaul car loops through
the block connected to the clew.  The outhaul car is also prevented from
coming forward past about half the length of the boom by a "keeper".  When
reefing or furling the car stops halfway and the sail takes the line through
the block for the rest of the journey in.

I'm not sure what is the "right" or "best" way - this is just how it was set
up when we got it.  It seems to work until the wind shakes too hard.

Ron, I had the same thing happen to me. Luckily I noticed the loose pin
before the clew blew away. Here is a close-up. Hope it helps.
