[Rhodes22-list] Rhodes22-list HP for Motor, Miracles

Anyone with current issues might want to consider a high thrust 
motor. I'm not sure who makes them these days. Our old Honda 8 hp was 
considered higher thrust than most outboards. Our current Yamaha 8 hp 
HT was marketed as high thrust for displacement hulls and we see a 
marked difference between it and the old motor. I don't have the 
specs in front of me but I believe that there was difference in both 
the gearing and the size and pitch of the prop. We didn't really have 
problems with the old motor even in some of our high current areas 
(Kent Narrows, entrance to Fairlee) but the new one is better. I 
don't believe Yamaha makes this model any more - it looks like their 
HT models begin at 9.9 and 106 lbs) but maybe someone is doing 
something similar in an 8 hp.
