It's good to know that this sailing nightmare experience is not unique to me.

Unsure of my anchoring skill, that was tested by tide and current in Puget 
Sound, I had a fun but restless sleep while over-nighting on the hook last 
summer.  Woke up at 3.00am and noticed the boat was closer to nice little Tug 
that was on a mooring; I went out side and adjusted my rode.  It turned out that 
the shift in position was because of a 3 hour fall in the tide.

Chris could have alerted me to that development, but I guess he was a little 
lethargic by the sumscious dinner we enjoyed together.

Hail Caesar, (bet you get tired of that)

The first year I had recurring dreams about the boat being driven ashore
while sleeping at anchor. Sometimes the dream could end up with the boat 1/4
mi or so from the shore. When sleeping aboard now I always set at least 2
anchors regardless of wind and have a 3rd if I think a storm will blow
through overnight.
