[Rhodes22-list] Floor Boards

The original cabin soles (the floors) were made from 3/4" plywood.  When I
replaced the sole in the 1981, I used oak plywood from a lumber company ($45
4'x8'x3/4" at Home Depot, Lowes, etc.) coated with polyester resin,
especially the edges (and cuts).  Mix the resin and brush or roll it on
(several thin coats are better than one thick one).  The floor has lasted
over 20 years without problem.

The same thing happened to two of my boards, including the one over the
center board trunk. Stan replaced them with plywood that was heavily coated
with what I think is polyurethan. These boards feel much stronger and have
held up well. Geoff
