When Aeolia was being built & I was considering options, Stan actually discouraged me from adding a self-tending jib.

I have seen the self tending jib installation. I have not sailed w one. It had a boom mounted on the foredeck and used a dedicated jib that is quite small. You will give up a lot of speed & flexibility. I would not trade it for my 150.
