[Rhodes22-list] Yet another cockpit drain question...Plus, transducer placement

What will you do with the wire in the cockpit? It will be difficult to hide
against the bright white bulkhead.
The location is perfect. It is far enough aft of the centerboard trunk to
avoid most of the vortex distortions at the aft end. I have my transducer
located just in front of the drain fitting on the inside of the hull using a
thru-hull transducer. I run the wire from the lazarette, over the bulkhead,
under the seat, up the companionway bulkhead where it is joined to the rest
of the unit.

I would say yes, the cockpit drain is below the waterline. I always see
water in the drain even though the level is below cockpit sole.
That brings up another question: I am thinking of installing my new
depth-finder transducer just aft of the cockpit drain, with the wire
traveling through the drain. What do the old wise Rhodies think?
