[Rhodes22-list] Deck mounted chain plate

Lynn,

I attached the photos directly to this email.  Look for the links towards

If your chainplates tore where they enter the deck, you are probably  the
victim of corrosion.  Check out the link below on issues that will cause
unusual failure modes of stainless steel chain plates if not installed or
bedded correctly:

Mike, Thanks for the info on chainplate repair. The photo links did not open
but that is what I am doing.

The chainplates themselves are not that robust. Mine just tore at the entry
point in the top deck. I think that will be the weakest link as well as a
safety to not tear up the top of the cabin.
