For future reference, next time you replace the pennant tube, most people  
use double clamps on each end if there is enough room for them.

The hose  segment needed was 16" long.  Placed two stainless hose clamps on 
hose  prior to threading line through. Fiberglass had a cut out to allow a 
small  ratchet access to tighten the upper clamp to the through hull. (

min....  30 minutes with a three year old supervising due to the  
question...Why?
