Yes, it is really weird that the R22 can have more room both on the inside
and on the outside than any other 22' boat out there. Do you think Stan has
been lying about this all these years and that the boat is actually 27'? Has
anyone actually checked that out?

Your butyl link is excellent - better than mine - more concise. 

BTW: San Juan 21 I just finally sold had hull/deck joint fiberglassed over
and still appeared perfect after 40 years - and SJ21's were lightly built. 

But Stan does magic - R22 so much "bigger" than the SJ21 - I don't
understand it.
