Luis,

Talbot needs a 7" width (the length and thickness are fine), which I have been unable to find.  The original 6' x 6" x 3/16" neoprene is still available from MSCDirect.com as part number 83039842 for $23.65. https://www.mscdirect.com/product/details/83039842?rItem=83039842

Once you have the material, simply get out a box cutter and a 1/4" punch and use the existing gasket as a template to cut the "slot".  I prefer to use the actual fiberglass trunk as a template to punch the holes, being sure to slightly stretch the material to make sure that the gasket will lay flat when compressed (it expands when compressed).

I’m also looking for the neoprene to make the gasket. My boat is a ’82, and the 5 feet length is fine.
