turns out my boat didn't come with a bilge pump nor any way to dump the
water overboard even if there was a bilge pump....Somehow I assumed that
was part of the design....clearly in retrospect I was wrong.
I didn't think to taste the water but there hadn't been much rain recently
and there was lots of water so I assumed it was salt water...I'll check
tomorrow
