Hi Mark,
I have a recycled Rhodes 22, documentation from the purchase in
April of this year.... But I don't want to step on Stan and his GBI
operation. I'm thinking that GBI might want to sell the docs or what about
the copywrite issue? Do you think Stan has the files in Edenton?
Wondering if Michael or Stan can answer this question...

Subject: [Rhodes22-list] Document library
Folks,
I've "volunteered" (read "Michael drafted me") some of my time to put
together a Rhodes 22 document library for the web site. I'm thinking that if
we pool our resources, we should be able to put together a pretty fair
reference.
Here's what I've got so far from Raven's documentation:
Scanned images in .pdf format (not text), all circa 1988
Rhodes 22 Owners Manual
Rhodes 22 Mast Raising System
Barient 8P Winch
Bluet 206 Butane Stove
I'd like to ask that you forward any Rhodes documentation you have in
elecronic form to me at mark@kaynor.org <mailto:mark@kaynor.org> . I think
that at this point I'd like to limit submissions to items that were included
in original or recycled boats from General Boats - things that more than one
or two owners are likely to find useful.
Anyone know much about copyright laws and how they might apply to a project
like this? I assume we'll have to obtain permission from various
manufacturers to "reprint" their documentation. I'm also thinking about
including URLs to appropriate resources, as well.
This is just slightly more than a gleam in my eye at this point, so I'm open
to any suggestions or comments (and / or volunteers).
