[Rhodes22-list] Tongue Weight

Todd,
We have a single axle Triad. As long as we get the boat far enough forward
on the trailer, tongue weight is just fine. The issue is how the fore and
aft weight of the boat is balanced on the trailer axle (think of a see
saw). If the boat is too far forward, the tongue weight will be to high, if
the boat is not far enough forward the tongue weight will be too low. I
would think that how the boat loads on the trailer will very much depend on
the bunkboard placement as all of the weight rests on the bunks. Don't have
a clue about the effect of using larger dimension boards.
Good luck
Mary Lou
