[Rhodes22-list] motor mount

If anyone has any advice on beefing up the stock outboard motor mount it would be appreciated.  Mine cracked at the point where the motor clamps on.  I made another out of (A/B) marine plywood two one inch pieces glued together, epoxied and varnished. I am wondering if the plastic runners will hold up to the weight of my new Yamaha 9.9 h.p. 4 stroke I just purchased. Steve in Florida.
