[Rhodes22-list] Mast Crutch

John,

Here are some pics of the GB mast crutch as it was on our R 22. This crutch 
worked flawlessly over several thousand miles of towing.

As Slim and Doug have said, the lower brackets carry the weight and the 
part that goes over the rail just stabilizes it for and aft. You can see 
the lines going down to the aft quarter cleats that stabilized the crutch 
side to side and also ensured to aft movement.
