There was a new story a few years ago that Georgetown was going to eliminate classic liturature from the mandatory curricula.  I can't really take apart a sentence but I learned to write by reading the classics.  They want to teach "relative" English (similar to "relative" mathamatics).  If it feels good and you are understood, it's ok.  The administrators are doing the students a great disservice.
