Me too but my rite of passage didn't happen until I was 43 when my dad and I
had our first and only argument.  No fisticuffs but a war of words.  I won
and he's a changed man.
Thank God I have no damn kids of my own!  Being an uncle is enough for me.
To this day, they still call me "Uncie Cheese."  When my niece was just
learning how to speak, my sis asked her, "Can you say Uncle Steve?"  and out
came "Uncie Cheese."  It stuck.
